There is 2.37 metres of floor in front of every dartboard. It is the regulation throw, and in most homes it does nothing except hold a strip of tape.
The Green Oche is a tour-grade putting surface cut to that exact distance. Stand behind it to throw. Putt along it when you're done. It rolls out in seconds and goes back behind the sofa when the room needs to be a room again.
The surface carries putting distances at one through six feet, and a 108mm hole at the far end; regulation size. Under that hole sits a moulded riser, made in England, that lets the mat near stay flat while the ball still behaves as though there's a hole in your floor. A putt hit too hard runs over it. A putt hit too soft doesn't get there. Catch the edge and it will lip in or out.
It's also the reason this isn't a putting mat with a dartboard nearby.
